Rotary Encoder

Rotary encoders serve as measuring sensors for rotary motion or angular velocity in factory automation application such as electrical motors, machine tools or robotic devices.

Optical Rotary Encoders
Optical rotary encoder is a sensor that converts the amount of mechanical geometrical displacement on the output shaft into electrical or electronic digital by photoelectric conversion. This is the most widely used sensor technology in rotary sensor products. Optical rotary encoder is composed of grating disk and photoelectric detection devices.

Incremental Rotary Encoder
Incremental rotary encoder is using photoelectric conversion principle directly with three sets of output square wave pulses A, B and Z phase; A, B two sets of pulse phase difference 90 degrees Z phase for each pulse, for the reference point positioning. It has the advantage of simple structure, mechanical average life can be tens of thousands of hours or more, anti-interference ability, high reliability, suitable for long-distance transmission.
